SUMMARY:Duke Trophy 2026
DESCRIPTION:ENTRIES  \nNotification of vacant positions by 12th June 2025  \nPreliminary entries by 12th June 2025:  \nState members are to submit the preliminary numbers for each division to the  competitors steward (Margaret Blunden) using the form provided in Form 1.  This will enable other states to fill any vacant positions.  \nFinal entries by 19th June 2025:  \nState members are to submit the final numbers for each division to the  competitors steward (Margaret Blunden  \nmargaret.blunden@australianiceracing.org ) using the form provided Form 2.RINK  \nThe competition will be held at: Iceworld Boondall  \n 2304 Sandgate Road\,   \n Boondall\, QLD 4034  \nFEES  \nEntry fee will be charged to each state member based on the number of  skaters entered into the competition. $120 will be charged to state association  for each skater entered\, including skater who’s filling in the vacant position for  other state.   \nEach state member will be issued with an invoice by AIR covering the  following charges:  \n– Entry fee  \n– Practice ice fee  \n– Unfilled volunteer positions  \nPayment details will be provided in the invoice.  \nDATES AND TIMES  \nPractice ice: Friday 10th July 11:30am to 12:30pm  \n(practice ice fee $25 per skater\, state members will be   \ninvoiced for the number of skaters attended)  \nDay 1: Saturday 11th July 7:00am to 11:00am   \nDay 2: Sunday 12th July 3:30pm to 7:30pm   \n (finish time is subject to the number of entries and races)  \nPRESENTATION   \nDue to the late finish time on Sunday\, 12 July\, the Duke Trophy presentation will  be held together with the Australian National Open Championships presentation  in October 2026.  \nVOLUNTEERS \nEach state will be required to provide volunteers for the event. For every 3  skaters the state association entered\, 1 volunteer is to be provided. E.g. If the  state is entering 3 or 4 skaters\, then it needs to provide 1 volunteer. If the  state is entering 5 or 6 skaters\, then it needs to provide 2 volunteers. For each  volunteer position that the state member cannot provide\, a $50 charge will  apply to the state member for each required but vacant position. The money  will then go towards the volunteer amenities and refreshments.  \nFORM 1  \nPRELIMINARY ENTRY FORM  \n(due Friday\, 12th June 2026)  \nTo be completed and sent to competitors steward 4 weeks before the start of the competition.  \nNote: Skaters can only skate up 1 division (for both relay and individual races) from their natural age division. Masters can skate down to Senior division.  \nRELAY TEAMS (place a tick next to division if entering a relay)  \nMasters (3000m)  \nOpen* (3000m/5000m)  \nJunior A (3000m)  \nJunior B (3000m)  \nJunior C (2000m)  \n* Team can be comprised of skates from the Masters\, Seniors and Junior A divisions. \nFORM 2  \nFINAL ENTRY FORM  \n(due Friday\, 19th June 2026)  \nTo be completed and sent to competitors steward 3 weeks before the start of competition.
